Nigra Bamboo

Phyllostachys nigra is a running black bamboo - great for pots.

Featuring stunning jet black canes which begin green, changing to black with sun exposure. Small green leaves contrast beautifully with these jet black canes making Nigra the perfect garden centrepiece. Also ideal for an eye catching hedge or screen and looks classy in a decorative pot. For best colour plant in a sunny position. Will tolerate coastal conditions and withstand temperatures below zero. Remove old canes as required - fertilise annually with a long term slow release fertiliser.
