- We encourage women of all ages, sizes, and walks of life, to come together and express themselves through this very elegant, magical and healing dance. It's a "girl's night out" with "me" time to meet new people, make wonderful friends and have lots of fun!
- Belly dance helps release stress and relaxes the mind. It brings happiness, builds confidence, self-esteem, and creativity whilst instilling a sense of comfort and beauty from within.
- Belly dance is a complete workout combining the 3 elements of fitness - stretch, cardio and strength. It tones and works on the areas which have a tendency to gain weight: thighs, bottoms and bellies. Improved posture, balance, coordination, core strength and flexibility come with time. After a class you feel energized and several classes later you feel healthier, gain a greater level of fitness through increased stamina, improved metabolism and renewed energy.
Students will learn through safe dance practices, the basic
foundations and essential moves of this ethnic dance to the language of
improvisation, intrinsic to this style of dance. We also include a basic
choreography which incorporates the moves you learn throughout class, all based
in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
FEES: $15 per class or $55 for a block of 5 classes
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Any athletic wear is suitable eg: stretch pants, bicycle shorts, t-shirt, singlet or tank top. This allows the instructor to see if the movements are being done correctly. Bring a well hydrated body along with a water bottle, and a big smile!
